Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, it is still officially called “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government. One way to show our respect on presidents day is by simply remembering the presidents and what they did. we can also take time to learn about some of the former presidents. Lastly we can show respect by celebrating George Washington's birthday. I can show my respect by learning about my past presidents and learning about what they did during there time. what I find interesting about this day is that it isn't only for all the presidents but this day also falls on George Washington's birthday as well.
