Valentine's, a day of romance and love. On this day you'll see people take those that they love out and spend a wonderful time together as well. We know this day as the day of love but do we even know how it came to be? Well today I'll write about the origin of this day. Valentine is a holiday of both Christian and roman beliefs. It began with a saint who name is saint valentine. The origin begins with the third century emperor banning mirage for young men because he believed they made bad soldiers. When saint valentine heard of this he began to marry young couples in secret. When the emperor heard of this and found out he ordered this saint to be killed for this reason. While he was imprison though it is believed that the jail's men daughter would come and visit Saint valentine which he fell in love with. so he wrote her a letter and signed "from your valentine". He was killed when she revived this letter and that's how the story goes.
