Pathologist

Duties and responsibilities: A pathologist is a physician who studies body fluids and tissues, helps your primary care doctor make a diagnosis about your health or any medical problems you have, and uses laboratory tests to monitor the health of patients with chronic conditions.
Salary: $302,610 per year.
Education: Pathologist must first earn a bachelor's degree, then a medical degree, either an M.D. or D.O. 
Demand or need: Extensive addition training is required including four to five years of training in anatomic, clinical and/or forensic pathology and a one-year residency or fellowship in forensic pathology.
