Dean Smith Statement

" I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right." is what Dean Smith once said. He said this to speak words of advice not to just the person he said tho to but also to all of us as a whole. This statement means that he didn't want to live as a legend, he wanted to live knowing that he was doing the right thing for everyone. For example lets say that your a teacher and you see your class doing things that they aren't suppose to do. It would be best that you tell them that what they might be doing isn't right and correct them on it so they can at least know better next time they might think doing that. Now lets say that you don't say anything ti the student, they would most likely keep on doing that thing and eventually get in trouble with law enforcement if it id that spurious instead of giving them a verbal warning. So as you can now tell Smith was only trying to do things that where right for everyone not only for himself. Also he was a coach as well and he didn't care about winning he only cared about being respectful and a good team player to show respect to the opposite team. This is my my reelection about this statement and CTR.

For example lets say that you find a wallet on the ground with $500 and identification as well as gift cards in it as well. You chose to take it in to the police department or try finding a number to return it to the owner. You somehow find out where the person is and rush to him/her to return the wallet at once and so you do. The person might be supersized or even overjoyed that you returned it and might give you a cash reward for it. " Dare to stand alone. Stan up for what is right, even if you stand alone."-Thomas S. Monson  once said. When you stand up for whats right you are choosing the right. If you do something that's wrong and everyone eals is doing it don't go with it. Leave them even if you will be alone because choosing the right is way better than doing whats wrong. For example lets say you are going to a party with some friends. You see that everyone is drinking alcohol and smoking as well. You think about staying because of your friends but you also  want to leave because you are tempted to try either or smoking or alcohol. You chose to stay and you start drinking and latter on the cops come and you get busted out. Now lets say if you left. You might have been alone but you would have been out of trouble's way and you would have been fine as well. So CTR and stand for what is right.
